Our most popular Bauerfeind product, the ViscoSpot heel cushion is clinically proven to be 95% effective for the initial treatment of heel pain (plantar fasciitis). You will not find this grade of product at your local pharmacy. This is a medical grade product prescribed by doctors to treat conditions such as plantar fasciitis, heel spur, heel pain, arthritis and more.

Bauerfeind ViscoSpot's viscoelastic heel cushions have a softer silicone blue "spot" anatomically placed for additional cushioning where heel pain originates. Made of high quality medical grade silicone, ViscoSpot provides superior comfort and long lasting effectiveness. In fact, Bauerfeinds viscoelastic heel cushions have been clinically proven effective in the initial treatment of heel pain (plantar fasciitis) when used in conjunction with plantar fascia stretching exercises. The use of a device such as the Thermoskin Plantar FXT or Swede-O Night Splint are usually prescribed by doctors to also be used as part of the treatment regimen for plantar fasciitis.

Softer silicone in heel region for shock load reduction has additional cushioning on the medial side, the area most sensitive to plantar fasciitis pain. The non-abrasive, medical-grade silicone prevents irritation and reduces shock loads throughout the entire length of the foot. Provides peak shock load reduction to joints and the back thereby relieving strain to the joints and surrounding soft tissue. The ViscoSpot is latex free and does not absorb odors.
