Great stethoscope for the price; mine is still working after 3 years of regular medical student use. Personally, I'm a bit hard of hearing, but I can still pick up grade 2 murmurs just fine. I've got a few grade 1 flow murmurs off of babies, but those are generally much more difficult to hear (especially starting out). All in all, I'd say it's a good starting stethoscope for anyone.
